The WVTA utilizes districts as a means to improve member representation, communications and event planning. Assigning members to a district aids us in coordinating the efforts of the respective District Representatives. Each county is designated into a district based on their rough relation, in terms of geography and population density, to Hwy 10 and Hwy 51, which combined transect the state into four quadrants. Members are automatically assigned to a district based on county of their home address; however, any member may elect to belong to a different district. For example, members may choose to become a member of the district in which they work rather than live. When contemplating district membership, consider which county you have the most professional contacts with and where it is most convenient for you to attend CE Events. Districts are assigned at the time of new membership or renewal. You may elect to change your designated district at any time by contacting the WVTA Secretary.
