Board vacancies to be filled October 2026
Our 4 major board member spots are in need of filling.
Below is information about each opening.
We will be accepting online nominations through midnight October 22nd and in person at our annual meeting on Friday October 23rd durring our "working lunch' at the WVTA fall conference.
President
Do you enjoy leading people in a positive direction? Do you have great ideas that you would like to share? As the WVTA’s decision maker, the president is the the overseer of projects as well as the meeting facilitator. The president is very often the face of the association, making communication skills and organization essential.
President Elect
The president elect’s role includes stepping in when the president is not able, recruiting members and bringing ideas from the membership into the focus of the board. The president will also guide and prepare you to step into the president’s role.
Treasurer
The treasurer position is for someone who can do the daily book keeping, review the organization’s financial accounts and provide insight to the yearly budget. The treasurer works closely with the president to review documents and keeps the board informed of the financial position of the organization.
Secretary
The Secretary is responsible for maintaining accurate records of the organization’s activities and supporting effective communication among members. Duties include recording and distributing meeting minutes, maintaining the organization’s membership roster, managing official correspondence, and helping ensure organizational records remain current and organized.
